YouTube For Amazon Influencers, Part 3
Now that you have your YouTube channel built and one video on it, we need to address the backlog you likely have in your video catalog. I’m sure that feels really overwhelming after going through the process of just uploading one. Don’t worry, there are tools that will help you do this fairly efficiently. The biggest challenge is finding which one(s) are going to be best for you. Throughout this article I am going to tell you how I do it and my workflow. Take whatever advice you can from that. We all work differently, have different budgets for tools and also different skill sets.
I actually use the Pro versions of all three of these but not for this particular reason. I use OINK and Viral Vue more for messaging, tracking brand deals and product research. They just happen to also offer the functionality to upload to YouTube. I batch film though. Which means when I create my shoppable videos I block some time 2-3 times per week and I make multiple videos at once. Since I am uploading in larger batches, for me, Cha-Ching Automate makes the most sense to handle my workflow because it mass uploads the videos, inserts the links and formats most of the uploading for me. It also posts to my International Storefronts all at the same time. We will get to international storefronts soon, I promise! But for todays decision just keep in mind which storefronts each of the tools upload to as a small part of your decision.
Because each tool does so many things, I compiled their short videos for you to help you make your decision. Set aside about 20-30 mins to go through this and make your choice, if any! You CAN go old school on this and upload them yourself and if you don’t have a big content library yet and you only post one video at a time, you may not need a tool at all right now. That’s totally valid too. But if you are sitting on more than 100 videos, just think about how many more videos you could be making instead of uploading one by one offsite. Time is money they say.
OK, let’s get into this…
Cha-Ching Automate
This is my go to for uploading in bulk. It is a tiny bit tech savvy to set up but there are really good directions and a Facebook group to help if you get stuck and Chris, the owner is super responsive. I will usually upload about 10 videos to Amazon in a batch. Once that is done and they are approved, I open Cha-Ching and press START NOW (or is it RUN?)….the program goes to my US Storefront and fetches the videos. It then posts them to YouTube for me. Let me really blow your mind (ha!). I actually have 3 youtube channels and it sorts them by the rules I have set and uploads them to the correct channel, filling in a lot of the meta data for me. It opens GeniusLink (my affiliate link) and creates my offsite deeplink automatically pointing to the right page on Amazon and also inserts that. It works with just the regular Amazon link if you don’t deeplink yet (which we need to change if you are not) and PostTap as well. After it uploads to Youtube it moves on and continues with uploading to my international storefronts as well. It does this by crosschecking the ASINs to see which products are sold in each country. I don’t have to be anywhere near my computer for this. All I have to do is push the button and I can go jump in the jacuzzi after a long day of filming. For me it is worth every cent to have that time back. And honestly, Cha-Ching is the least expensive of the three tools. Here is Chris, the creator of Cha-Ching to tell you more. If you do decide to go with Cha-Ching I would really appreciate you using my affiliate link and code to save 10% off with Barb10
***Important edit: within days of me posting this Youtube started implementing rate limits on video uploads. So Cha-Ching will no longer upload at most more than 10 videos a day. However, Chris has some strategies on this so no big deal. It’s just not going to be as fast of a process as it once was.
OINK for Influencers
I use and love OINK for brand messaging, checking my Storefront health looking for dead ASINS and product research. It does have the functionality to upload to Youtube but to be honest I have never tried it. If you have OINK already, this could be your solution. OR if you were wanting to get a product research tool to up your game anyway? This is the more cost effect option and easier one to navigate between this and Viral Vue. Its just more intuitive. OINK will also help you crosspost to Canada (CA), United Kingdom (UK) and Australia (AU) storefronts. Here is Fizz to tell you more about how OINK works for YouTube. If you decide to sign up for OINK please use my affiliate link and code Barb for 10% off.
Viral Vue
Viral Vue is honestly the “big daddy” in terms of cost and complexity. It has so many features its impossible to list them all. They also have their own deeplinking system called URL Vue that is integrated into their Pro plan. While I do not use Viral Vue (VV from here on out) for uploading to Youtube and International storefronts, I do use it for a lot of other things. Its scorecard alone on whether or not you have a chance of making money from a video is reason enough alone to use it. Worth noting that they only upload to CA and UK storefronts. BUT they recently integrated Canva x Pinterest cross posting. I think OINK does Pinterest as well but not with Canva integration but don’t hold me to that! These tools are always adding new things. The one integration that VV has with Youtube that I love is the ability to tag a product in my Youtube studio by its ASIN and notify the brand that I posted their product to Youtube if they have a Creator Connections campaign or we had a brand deal. That goes a long way in you providing more value to the brand. You can use that feature even if you uploaded with Cha-Ching.
Let’s check out Viral Vues Youtube integrations here and as with all the others if you decide to go with VV please use my affiliate link and Welcome10 for 10% off.
